Dennis Chung to join Supreme Ventures in February
Financial expert Dennis Chung will join the Supreme Ventures Group (SVL) as chief financial officer (CFO), effective February 1 next year.
Chung, current chief executive officer (CEO) of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), is a chartered accountant with a solid track record in finance. He has worked at the financial-controller level in the food and financial industries and is a past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica, having been a council member since 2003.
Chung fills the position vacated by former Interim President and CEO James 'Danny' Morrison, who retired in October. Morrison had previously served as the company's CFO.
"Dennis has achieved success at the highest levels of corporate entities and in spearheading successful initiatives at both the corporate and national levels. Given our plans for growing the business, that experience will be significantly valuable to SVL's strategy and execution," said David McConnell, SVL chairman.
"The SVL family is excited to have Dennis join us in this capacity. The entire team is ready to work with him to take the business to the next level. It is an exciting journey, and we have a very positive outlook as we move ahead," said Ann-Dawn Young Sang, SVL president and CEO.
Chung currently sits on the boards of GK Capital, where he is also audit committee chairman, and serves as the chairman of the National Solid Water Management Authority, National Integrity Action, and the Pension Fund Association of Jamaica.
