Christmas Day murder in Clarendon

Published:Wednesday | December 27, 2017 | 12:00 AM

The day designated for peace and goodwill towards all men proved to be not a strong enough reason to halt the bloodletting in Clarendon as 36-year-old Miruts Milton, aka 'Ghetto', a car wash operator of Harris Street, May Pen, was shot and killed by unknown attackers.

The incident, which took place along Howard Avenue in May Pen occurred minutes after noon on Christmas Day.

According to a report from the Constabulary Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, residents, after hearing explosions, summoned the police. On the lawmen's arrival, Milton was found lying face down in a pool of blood with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
