JPS executive T’Shura Gibbs resigns
Popular Jamaica Public Service (JPS) executive T'Shura Gibbs has tendered her resignation to take effect on February 9.
Efforts to reach Gibbs, the director of JPS Region West, were unsuccessful.
However, according to very reliable source, Gibbs will be focusing on several business ventures that she has established over the past four years.
Gibbs, who is also president of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI), advised her directors of the decision in a note yesterday.
"This is to inform you that I have tendered my resignation to JPS," read the email obtained by The Gleaner. "In October 2012 when I joined JPS, my commitment was to serve there for five years. I have stood in my commitment," the email continued.
"The time has come for me to pursue other interest of which I will speak of in due course," Gibbs stated in the email.
The Gleaner also understands that Gibbs will not be going up for re-election at the MBCCI's annual general meeting constitutionally due in April.
