Three charged for killing businessman in Brown's Town

The Brown's Town Police in St Ann have now charged the three men arrested last week in connection with the murder of a Chinese businessman.

Twenty-three-year-old Orandy Mott, a merchandiser of Philadelphia district; 40-year-old Vivian Campbell, a higgler of Benin district; and 47-year-old Leabert Piper, also a higgler of Philadelphia district, all in Brown's Town were charged yesterday.

Twenty-eight-year-old Teng Fei Cheng was shot dead as he sat in his vehicle at his business place on Top Road in Brown's Town.

Mott, Campbell and Piper were arrested within 24 hours of the killing.

Head of the St Ann Police Division Superintendent Michael Smith yesterday met with members of the Chinese business community to seek to assure them that investigations were progressing into the killing that the police would be increasing patrols in Brown's Town.
