Don’t blame ministry for Asia-made memorabilia

Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett said his ministry was not at fault for the Asia-made promotional items that were used as memorabilia at the United Nations World Tourism Organization (WTO) and Government of Jamaica 2nd Global Conference on Jobs and Inclusive Growth, which was held in Montego Bay more than a week ago.

Bartlett said that a local, small manufacturer was given the contract to prepare and provide the giveaways for the conference. He said that neither the Government nor the Ministry of Tourism was aware that the items would be sourced from outside Jamaica.
