Why no hype for Jamaican on 'The Voice'?

THE EDITOR, Sir:

In 'The Voice' last year, I remember well the hype, the energy and the love we all had as a nation, home and abroad. The constant talking about Tessanne Chin and how Adam Levine "luv off har baddy".

It's now Season 7, and another Jamaican, Anita Antoinette, is in the competition, but I don't see the love or the hype.

Where is the love, Jamaica? I remember when TVJ bought the rights and cable TV customers like myself had to watch the crappy video on either TVJ or RETV. As upset as I was, all I wanted was to see our girl, Tessanne.

We went all out for Tessanne. Why are we not doing the same with Anita? Is it because Anita isn't a popular figure in Jamaica before she went on 'The Voice'? Or is it because she doesn't have friends like Shaggy and Usain Bolt?

Don't show love and support to one and not the other.
