NHT injustice from Ministry of Justice

Published:Tuesday | December 16, 2014 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

This is to register my utter frustration with my former employer, the Ministry of Justice, more specifically, Court Management Services (CMS).

I retired in 2011 after 23 years of service in the court system. I have made several futile attempts to receive my National Housing Trust (NHT) special refund from 2009 to 2011. The NHT has repeatedly told me that my contributions have not been paid over by the ministry and, as such, it can make no payments to me.

My many calls to CMS - even to as high as the chief financial officer - are met with promises to rectify the situation, or simply their refusal to take my calls.

I am not the only retired civil servant from this ministry affected.

The least I can expect from this ministry is that which its name proclaims: JUSTICE.
