New Year’s resolution
The Editor, Sir:
I am urging all Jamaicans to make this the year to take drastic actions to stop child abuse and neglect.
Every new year is an opportunity for self-reflection, a chance to correct some of our mistakes and set new goals.
We frequently lay out big plans as resolutions - such as losing weight, getting rid of bad habits, or become better parents. Nonetheless, many of us seemed to always fall short by the wayside with good intentions.
But what if we look at this year's resolution from a broader perspective? Why don't we all join forces and take the time to think about the innocent children? What new possibilities would we like to share with them in the new year?
Therefore, as we make this transition into the new year, let us look at the future through the eyes of the children and make 2015 the year to protect them from abuse and neglect.
Wishing everyone a peaceful and happy new year!
