'The one that got away'
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I use this medium to send an open letter to your columnist, Gordon Robinson.
Dear Mr. Robinson, I just read your article in The Gleaner titled 'The one that got away' and couldn't stop laughing. Not because of the story but your description of your wife. You are a natural storyteller, and it made my day.
The story was very sweet and poignant. It reminded me of my first crush. He went away to high school, and my family and I migrated to the United States. We lost touch for over 30 years. Long story short, we reconnected on Facebook and are planning on getting married this spring.
He still lives in Jamaica and I, New York, but we've been visiting each other. I know my story has a happy ending.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful story. I love it, and I hope to read more of them. Have a wonderful and blessed day, and Happy New Year!
