Enquiry funding scandalous waste
THE EDITOR, Sir:
The Government's decision to grant its friends, buddies and party loyalists a free pass at our hard-earned tax dollars under the guise of a commission of enquiry is an atrocious disregard for marginalised Jamaican people.
It is so unfortunate that this is the same government that continues to profess its love for the poor but again and again fails to seize opportunities to uplift those they say they love, those who are desperately in need.
That $250-plus million would have been of enormous value to the people of West Kingston if it was used to compensate those who were disenfranchised and also put into building social development infrastructure to accommodate small businesses.
