Don't ban school devotions

Published:Friday | January 23, 2015 | 1:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I strongly support the retention of mandatory Christian devotions in public schools.

Devotions in schools help children to realise that religion is one of the moral building blocks of one's life. Of course, schools should not force their preferred religion on an individual, but they should not limit the child's exposure to worship.

Let the children be exposed to God. When they get older, they can make a decision for themselves whom they want to serve.
