Help our wayward youngsters
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Too many of our teenage girls have been killed. I think some of these could have been avoided if our students would get into the habit of going home immediately after school. Quite often, I pass students at the bus terminus, just hanging around. Sometimes I see girls and boys in compromising positions, kissing in public places, like Half-way Tree and downtown.
My daughter told me that sometimes when she takes the bus, there are school children onboard who get very noisy. They use indecent language, they play sexually suggestive music at high volume on their phones, and no one says anything to them. I think drivers should have the right to apprehend them. We need to shape our young people into the leaders of tomorrow.
