Revamp appeal court, Senate
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I am attracted to Delroy Chuck's suggestions that our final court of appeal be a five-person cohort of a 10-man appeal court. The Caribbean Court of Justice should be retained to deal with disputes between CARICOM states.
The Senate should be our executive chamber, with majority and minority party members in the same numbers and proportions as they are now. The leaders of both parties should be members of the Senate.
The Lower House should consist of members elected to represent their individual constituency and participate in legislative matters.
All these constitutional changes should be entrenched.
