Don't let Obama fool you on ganja
THE EDITOR, Sir:
As I am writing this letter, I am watching a CNN special, 'Cannabis vs Capitalism, High Profits'.
It shows how seriously America is taking ganja, with Dr Sanjay Gupta revisiting the University of Mississippi, which has increased its ganja cultivation thirtyfold since he had been there two years ago. All this, we are being reminded, is for medical research on cancer, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.
Don't listen to President Obama's response to Miguel 'Steppa' Williams about marijuana not being a silver bullet. Ganja is a golden bullet, or the mighty United States of America wouldn't be diving in head first.
If we want the president of the United States to come here and pull the wool over our eyes while ganja is being exploited by them at home and turning profits that could easily pull us out of our economic woes, that's our tough luck. By the time we wake up to the fact that America is saying one thing and doing another, we will be even further in debt and still inhaling the Riverton dump's noxious fumes.
