Abortion is wrong, plain and simple!
THE EDITOR, Sir:
No government that is serious about human rights or Christianity would support a law legalising abortion. Abortion should only be legal in cases where a woman is physically and sexually violated, via rape, or if her pregnancy poses a threat to her life.
To legalise abortion across the board is dangerous and does not support the human rights of unborn children, who can't fight for their right to life. Seeking to protect the human rights of women who seek and employ underground methods of aborting their child, which threatens their physical health, is not a good enough reason for abortion to be legalised, Minister Hanna.
Also, the claim that "a woman should have the right over
her body and whatever she chooses to do with it" is a flawed argument. If that's the case, any government that supports that position should also support legalising prostitution and euthanasia.
Morally and ethically, abortion is wrong, plain and simple!
