100% backing for Meeks' rebuff
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I am compelled to write in support of the opinions expressed in the column ('Toothless defence of UTech dental programme') written by Dr Jeffrey Meeks in your publication of April 29, 2015.
I know that some powerful people can be very petty and mean when their opinions, schemes and plans are opposed by ordinary voters and citizens, but I think that Dr Meeks' points are so important, and his analyses and conclusions so cogent, that he deserves the attention of the relevant government ministries, and the ruling classes in both universities.
Whatever qualifications that I have for lending support to Dr Meeks come from approximately 40 years of being educated at the 'University of North Street', Kingston Public Hospital, all of my professional life, and my stay at The Eastman Clinic, and Centre of Excellence in London, England.
I am genuinely happy that I have had absolutely nothing to do with the situation we see before us as described by Dr Carolyn Cooper.
