People's Report: Praising cop for piloting me to hotel

Published:Saturday | May 9, 2015 | 5:00 AM

We arrived in Kingston on April 23 from New York state to attend the memorial services of an uncle. While driving from the airport to our New Kingston hotel, we got seriously lost.

Fortunately, we came upon two police vehicles and asked for directions at 8:40 p.m. The officers saw our distress and one of them kindly offered to show us the way! We did not get the officer's name, but his vehicle plate was MPD073.

This kind professional delivered us to the hotel door. We would have been driving around for hours had it not been for his courtesy. We hope he will see this letter and know his efforts were very much appreciated.
