Parked trailers pose danger to pedestrians

Published:Saturday | July 11, 2015 | 7:00 AM

There is a dangerous practice being done for nearly two years and I have pointed out the matter to the relevant agencies, yet nothing has been done.

There are at least three trailers parked between 6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily causing problems on the outskirts of Queensborough Gardens, Kingston 19. These trailers are parked on the sidewalk, thus forcing pedestrians to walk in the middle of the road into the path of vehicles turning from Molynes Road on to Fairdene Avenue, in the vicinity of Ackee Walk.

The area is not well lit and children regularly use the road. With all this noise about road safety, I have to wonder if we are serious. Are we waiting for an accident to happen?

I will see how long it will take for appropriate action to be taken.
