Speaking in tongues of angels
THE EDITOR, Sir:
One of the problems that people have when they read a letter (epistle) that was not addressed to them, is that they have a very serious problem understanding, or interpreting the text.
The epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, was a letter to Apostolic brethren who were all baptised in Jesus' name, and filled with the Holy Ghost.
Paul writing in the same epistle, 1 Corinthians chap. 2, explained that (natural men), those who have not received the Spirit of God, find it impossible to even understand the basic principles of God.
Please note that in verse 1 of 1 Corinthians chap. 2, Paul declared that he did not come to them with excellency of speech, or in the wisdom of men.
I recommend that all of 1 Corinthians chap. 2 be read.
1 Corinthians chap. 2 verse 11 reads, " For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Thirty-six years ago I humbled myself, I was only 24 years old, I repented of my sins, I was baptised in the name of Jesus, two weeks later while praying at the same altar, the Lord filled me with the precious Holy Ghost. I found myself speaking in tongues ( miraculously). From that day until now, it has been my daily experience, all I have to do is just think about Him, and that experience of 36 years ago, is repeated.
There is an old saying, " when the fox cannot get the grape, he says it is sour."
The Power of God is just the same today as it was in the time of the Apostles. Even Mary the mother of Jesus was in the upper room when the Holy Ghost was first out poured, even she was not exempted.
Seek the Lord with a pure heart, humble yourself, and this (necessary), and life changing experience can be yours also.
