Walk good, Winston Sill
THE EDITOR Sir:
In association with fellow members of the media fraternity, I join in extending condolences to the family of Winston Sill, veteran photographer, who gave yeoman service in his profession during his years with your publication. I salute also his family who, though now mourning his loss, can be comforted by the record of excellence which he has left.
Winston Sill was not only a consummate professional, but he was part of a unique group, one who knew excellence but did not boast. He did his job and did it well, representing the best of the Jamaican media. All who knew him can attest to his dedication and the zeal with which he undertook each assignment. This earned him respect and friendship.
I have never heard an unkind word said of Sill over his many years of committed service, which brought me into contact with him. He was known for the quality of his work and the dedication which he gave to it, leaving a mark of competence by which he will always be remembered. To share an assignment with him was not a task, it was a privilege and an honour. I'll always remember Winston Sill.
