Voting doesn't matter
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I recently came across a phrase attributed to Mark Twain that says: If voting made a difference, they wouldn't make us do it.
Those few words say a lot and really depict the predicament that every Jamaican faces when asked to decide between the two mainstays in Jamaican politics.
The fact is, many big businesses and individuals benefit from this mello-go-round. These entities do not give a hoot about the lives that the poorest in our country lead once they purchase the goods and services that make them richer.
