Acts of criminality among JCF members
THE EDITOR, Sir
I wish to express my disgust pertaining to acts of criminality among members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
Time and time again, the police force has been hit with bad news. From a general standpoint, some members, and also former members of the force, have been caught red-handed and are succumbing to illegal dealings.
If and when our police force is being scarred with foulplay, it ought not to be taken lightly - it's a very serious matter. We the people ought to have great trust and confidence in the police and must be able to look to them for guidance and protection. Unfortunately, indisciplined officers are contaminating the force with their bad ways and attitude which is seriously affecting the entire force and all the good policemen and women.
If the police force continues to be plagued by waves of corruption, it will be an advancement to the crime field. The question remains: From a scale of one to 10, how much do we rate our police when it comes to trustworthiness, security, and confidence?
Too many 'bad apples' are getting into our police force and this is not a good sign at all.
