The Transport Authority is reiterating that the chasing of vehicles during road operations is against the company's policy. This practice is neither condoned nor is it an approved enforcement methodology employed by the Authority.

The Transport Authority's route inspectors are aware of the approved enforcement methods and the policy as it relates to chasing and blocking.

Contrary to reports by the Jamaica Association of Transport Owners and Operators ( (JATOO) that "over the past week, several taxi operators have been chased and hit by Transport Authority vehicles", the Transport Authority is maintaining that it is unaware of these incidents and does not have on record any complaints about such incidents over the past week in the vicinity of the National Stadium.

The Authority, therefore, invites JATOO and members of the public to report details of any such incidents by calling the Authority's customer complaints line at 1-888-991-5687.
