What responsibility for NWA

Published:Wednesday | September 2, 2015 | 11:04 PM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

This is an open letter to the National Works Agency

In light of the recent legislative push to have motorists held accountable for damages to road furniture, please bear in mind that the opposite should be considered and also be put into

legislation.

The National Works Agency (NWA) and other government agencies, I'm sure, are responsible for damages to my motor vehicle and thousands across the island. For all the potholes and open drains resulting in damaged tyres and front-end damage and ultimately traffic accidents which I have been fixing for years. I, too have a claim of right.

Too often, legislation is created from a bias perspective. No one stops to consider the tax payers, but come up with new scams to drain hard-earned monies from our already porous pockets. Please make available the relevant information as to who created these craters and/or who did tardy repair work, so I can make the necessary claims to be compensated.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
