Reverse sacking of Jade Bascoe

Published:Tuesday | October 13, 2015 | 10:00 AMTHE EDITOR, Sir:

I don't see the issue surrounding the St Hilda's High Jehovah's Witness controversy, because the student in question, Jade Bascoe, says she is not a baptised Witness.

Obviously she has a 'Witness background' which has influenced her life - if I dare say - in a positive way. However, she has no problem participating in organising events that are the very core doctrines that Witnesses preach against based on the Bible. Does that make her a Witness? Far from it.

My school is acting so prejudiced that they fail to see the bias in their decision to rescind the title of head girl bestowed on Jade.

Come on, St Hilda's, act in an educated manner and do the right thing. Reverse that decision.
