OUR should call in all utility providers
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I am very concerned that the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) dropped the ball by calling in FLOW alone for a meeting to discuss service issues. Frankly, I believe that FLOW, Digicel, the Jamaica Public Service and the National Water Commission must be brought in together to discuss a myriad of customer service and product service issues across the board.
The Jamaican people are already going through enough stress with a bad economy. The least we can get now is improved services from all utility service providers.
Finally, I believe it is very manly move by Gary Sinclair, FLOW's chief executive officer, to put himself forward and speak directly to consumers about some of the issues affecting FLOW. It allowed us to know that at least one CEO is not afraid to step out and have a face to face. Other companies should take note.
