Manchester cops working hard

Published:Sunday | November 1, 2015 | 11:10 PMSally Porteous

THE EDITOR, Sir:

While the parish of Manchester is horrified at the brutal murder of Norma Coleman Henry, I have to commend the Mandeville police on their diligent and extremely difficult job of bringing to justice those who seemed to have committed the act.

Oftentimes we criticise the police, but we need to remember that most personnel in the force are good, well-thinking men and women who are determined to carry out their job, no matter what the circumstances.

This must have been heart-wrenching for them and I feel it for those cops who stood straight for law and order.

Special commendations go to our new superintendent of police for Manchester, Vendolyn Powell, for her leadership; and to all those police personnel who have acted with speed to apprehend the killers.

I urge you to keep up the good work.
