Performance is the key, Paula
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I read, with some amount of interest, that brilliant article written by Mr Gordon Robinson (The Sunday Gleaner, December 6) about our learned director of public prosecutions, Ms Paula Llewellyn.
I am in total agreement with the column and I think that the DPP should read it more than once. The article, if read by the DPP, should not be taken as a critical assessment of her stewardship up to this point, but as path to her development.
Ms Llewellyn has been the first woman to be appointed to the high office of the director of public prosecutions, but I really do not think her loquacious know-all affectation recommends the appointment, to the position, of other women.
I want to emphasise, for the benefit of the learned DPP, the quote from Mr Robinson: "Profiling can only take one so far. Performance is the key."
