THE EDITOR, Sir:

Will someone please help us fix our road, Huntley Crescent, in Brown's Town, St Ann? This road is so bad that the bottom of cars scrape when they fall into the potholes. The foundation in parts of the road is all gone and the bare earth is rapidly eroding whenever it rains.

Two weeks ago, I was shocked when my wife declared that she was going to fix the road herself. I did not believe her, but she was serious.

I told her that I would not help as I was tired of fixing said road. In the past, I have fixed this road multiple times, sometimes begging marl and using my employees.

Begging help from my parish councillor and Member of Parliament Dayton Campbell has borne no fruit despite multiple requests.

This area is populated mostly by elderly citizens. They are mostly returning retirees, and they are used to paying their property taxes, and still do. This area is supposed to be the most compliant in paying property taxes.

I implore you, the relevant authorities, to come to our aid. Please fix our road.
