Impressed with swift policing
THE EDITOR, Sir:
We often hear about the unprofessional, unaccountable, unreliable police personnel who seemingly collect their salaries each month with little justification.
Most recently, I had reason to engage several cops in connection with a major case which is still being actively investigated.
I was simply stunned by the swiftness and professionalism exercised by Ealan Powell, the assistant commissioner of police in charge of crime, and his team headed by deputy superintendents Christopher Brown and Robert Walker from the East Kingston Police Division.
Through patience and persistence, they were able to successfully execute an anti-crime operation.
Sir, these cops have renewed my faith in the Jamaica Constabulary Force and I use this medium to record my homage to them.
