Audley is not your man

THE EDITOR, Sir:

It bleeds my heart to know that whenever Jamaica has a good thing going on in the economy, some form of 'spanner' is thrown into the works to spoil things. Having read last Thursday' s Gleaner headline (January 21, 2016) indicating that Audley Shaw will be the finance minister in the next JLP administration, the majority of Jamaicans need to remember that this is a man who wanted to add General Consumption Tax on ground provisions like yam and banana. He also presided over a collapsed economic programme backed by International Monetary Fund in 2011.

If the JLP wins the next election, party leader Andrew Holness need to see that a change (in finance minister) is as good as a rest, as they say. Audley is not your man.
