Gaynor's column hit nail on the head
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I was very pleased to read the article written by Patrick Gaynor, 'A blind man's country' (Gleaner, February 15, 2016). As a young adult in our society who is genuinely concerned about the future of our economy, I couldn't agree any more with Mr Gaynor. He has hit the nail on the head with every point he made.
The people's biggest problem is that we don't know how to vote. As he stated, we're culturally handicapped, and until we wake up to this issue of not actually listening and knowing to choose wisely, we will never move forward with progress.
We need to stop behaving like puppets controlled by strings mastered by these politicians.
We are our own enemy.
