Might Holness consider PNP ministers?
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I wish to offer congratulations to Andrew Michael Holness on his imminent appointment as prime minister of Jamaica.
Since the Jamaican Constitution does not recognise political parties in the House of Representatives, and since the prime minister is responsible to appoint ministers from members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, it would have been a radical change if the prime minister-designate would appoint ministers from the political divide in creating a government of unity for the advancement of Jamaica.
