Help us keep touch with MPs

Published:Wednesday | March 9, 2016 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Please allow me to congratulate our new Government. We, the people, are encouraged to hear our prime minister pledge to partner with us in the big task of moving Jamaica forward. I also wish to thank the last administration for their work and trust that wherever possible, they will continue to help in our national development. At the end of the day, it is critical that Jamaica wins!

I hereby submit a recommendation that might help in facilitating the stated desire for government-citizen partnership:

Publish a list of all 63 constituency offices - address, telephone contact, email address. This information will allow any citizen to contact his/her parliamentary representative as needed. I implore my fellow citizens to ensure that we remain in communication with our representatives, providing feedback on initiatives, and offering commendation when positive actions are taken, being careful always to be courteous, factual and generous in our attitudes and expressions.
