Give Reid, new Gov’t a break

Published:Monday | April 18, 2016 | 4:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Ruel Reid took a noted Jamaican high school, Jamaica College, which had seen better days, and turned its fortunes around, much to the delight of the JC community and well-thinking Jamaicans.

What has the opinion editor, in his obscure position, done that any Jamaican could laud or be proud of, besides picking on a government that is hardly 70 days in office?

The Government is young, and it will make mistakes, and it will not always be smooth going. Opinion editors in Jamaica could probably try to figure out how they can help to advance the fortunes of Jamaica, as against their own narrow-minded political fortunes.
