Markings missing from Riley to Glasgow road
THE EDITOR, Sir:
This is an open letter to the National Works Agency (NWA):
The recently completed roadway linking Riley to Glasgow in Hanover is a sight to behold. On that count, thank you.
However, I believe we, as a nation, always forget how important the small things are. I was once driving on the Negril section of the North Coast Highway when I approached a particular section of the roadway and ended up on the wrong side of the road. The primary cause was because of the lack of the dividing line (whether yellow or white).
Therefore, in order to preserve lives on the new roadway, it would make sense for the NWA to properly mark the road. It also improves the aesthetics of the new roadway. In most developed countries and even some Caribbean ones, major rural roads have this protective and aesthetic feature. Please complete the job.
