K.D. Knight out of order!
THE EDITOR, Sir:
K.D. Knight is out of order. He is disgusting, rude, crude and intolerable. The clash between him and Justice Lennox Campbell during the now infamous Trafigura case was unfortunate, and it shouldn't have ended the way it did.
K.D. Knight should have been disciplined by Justice Campbell. The sort of behaviour that was portrayed by Mr Knight is not one that we should encourage or condone. It's shameful, at best! Someone should tell Mr Knight, plain and straight, that such behaviours are not synonymous with someone having the title of Queens Counsel.
Funnily enough, The Jamaican Bar Association has said nothing about his behaviour and the chief justice, too, has been silent on the whole matter. This matter must not be allowed to slide, because the minute we start accepting abuse of our justices by members of the Bar and their clients, it is the minute the justice sector will turn on its head.
I get the feeling that whenever Mr Knight feels as if he is in the spotlight, he gets on a high and tends to be rude and cocky. It happened when he was involved in the Manatt enquiry and his history in the Lower and Upper Houses has been well documented. I hope that Justice Campbell or any other judge does not tolerate his behaviour, because it is unbecoming.
