Thumbs up for JLP administration

Holness and his administration have done a pretty good job so far. I have appreciated the fact that they have made a deliberate effort to communicate with the people, which is a good feature of the administration.

In grading the administration, I would look at the areas of finance, education, agriculture, foreign affairs and tourism. These areas, in my mind, are the areas that I believe have taken off under the Holness-led administration.

I am pleased with the fact that the administration has been so focused on partnership. The spirit of partnership should be extended to the NGOs of this country, especially the lobby groups and the environmental groups. This, in my mind, would further signal to Jamaica that the administration is serious about partnership for prosperity.

All in all, I would give the administration a healthy 8.5 out of 10 so far, and the most impressive minister would be Karl Samuda. The least impressive minister would be Andrew Wheatley, particularly because we haven't been hearing much from him and his ministry. The key to the success of this administration is going to be communication with the people and the administration must never forget that.
