PM should bare all in Parliament
THE EDITOR, Sir:
It is shameful that public pressure, starting with Dr Peter Philips and then the media, had to be brought to bear on the Prime Minister Andrew Holness in order to get him to selectively release information about his Integrity Commission filings. This is something that he promised to do by March.
I agree with Opposition Spokesman on Finance Dr Phillips that act of making his financial information known to three media houses is not enough. Our prime minister should do the honourable thing and table the information in Parliament as P.J. Patterson did.
I look forward to the day when issues like these are no longer contentious but become the norm with any prime minister's financial information routinely being a matter of public record.
