Delusional Minister Vaz
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I read with great consternation reports that Minister Daryl Vaz was calling on the Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) and the Media Association of Jamaica (MAJ) to apply sanctions to journalists who he claimed were pushing the agenda of the Opposition People's National Party.
So concerned was I, that I felt compelled to put pen to paper and submit a letter to the editor for the first time in my forty years of existence. Mr Vaz has always been and quite possibly always will be a bit confrontational which I personally had chalked up to his political style, but not once had I ever thought of him as delusional or demented until now.
My dear, Minister Vaz, in case you hadn't noticed, the media carried extensive reports on every ill that beset the PNP administration during their time in office and continues to publicly diarize their current unravelling up to the time of this letter.
I look forward to both the PAJ and the MAJs response to Minister Vaz as the last time I checked I still lived in a democratic Jamaica where freedom of speech continued to be enjoyed by all, the goodly Minister included.
