Don't validate homosexuality

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am deeply disgruntled by an article titled 'Court bias and minority groups' (Gleaner, July 21, 2016). This is a blatant disregard for the teachings of the Bible and the instructions from the Almighty God himself. Homosexuality is a sin, and to say that gays are not getting enough rights to exercise that sin, instead of seeking to turn away from it, is a slap in God's face.

I am a Christian and I stand firm in my belief that we should not support this behaviour. Every sin is equal in the sight of the Lord. You don't see the world saying, "Oh, the guilty thieves and murderers should have a right to speak out and air their reasons for the killings in an attempt to gain pity, freedom even."

This article goes to show that we need more prayer for this world. No one is perfect - yes, not even us Christians - but the line is drawn when people become proud and unrepentant about their evil doings. Oh my, what would we do without the mercy and grace of our Lord!
