Searching for info on godfather, 'Buster'

Theresa Kilbride (Morrison)

My father, Eric Constantine Morrison, also known as Henry, enlisted in the West Indian Royal Air Force from Kingston, Jamaica, in 1944 during the Second World War. He, along with some of his friends, was stationed at Fradley Airfield or Aerodrome (Lichfield), Staffs, England.

I am trying to contact or get any information on one of his friends, who later became my godfather. His name was Grenville D. Thomas, known as 'Buster'. The information I have on him is that until 1964-66, Buster was still in the RAF and was stationed at Doncaster Air Base, England. I know he was a corporal and sometime in the 1950s was stationed in Germany.

He was a dear family friend, as well as my godfather, but unfortunately, my family lost contact with him. I have tried RAF Disclosures in Cranwell, England, but as I am not a blood relative, they can't release any information they may have about him to me.

I?m afraid I don't know his service number either and I don't know whether he returned to Jamaica after leaving the service or stayed in England.
