Blythe has right to challenge

Published:Friday | July 29, 2016 | 7:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am a 'red shirt', a real leftist, yet I support a democratic process.

I don't know what George Davis' agenda is (Gleaner, 'Karl Blythe - a lamb to the (s)laughter', July 27, 2016), but for someone who seems to endorse democracy, I am appalled by the views expressed by him on this matter.

Ian Boyne's article 'Blythe no blight on PNP' (Sunday Gleaner, July 24, 2016) was a great one and I strongly support it. Stalwart Karl Blythe knows he can't win. In fact, most Comrades know this. But Mr Blythe believes the democratic system must work, and mounting a challenge is a right to be exercise by any competent Comrade.

Allow the system to work, George Davis.
