Thanks, Miss Cutie
THE EDITOR, Sir:
The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) is in a mess, but even in that mess, we are encouraged. There is a JUTC dispatcher who works at the Half-Way Tree bus centre whose interaction with passengers is remarkable. She takes the old, the mothers and fathers with babies or young children and allows them to stand aside. As soon as their bus appears, she ushers these people inside the bus first, thereby preventing them from being caught up in the crunch and crush of the crowd.
I wish to commend her for her compassion and customer service skills.
I asked a driver her name. I believe he said it was Miss Cutie. Well, Miss Cutie, the passengers of Portmore believe you are doing an extraordinary job. We need someone like you for the August Town-Gordon Town route.
