Why I'm angry with God

Published:Tuesday | September 27, 2016 | 9:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The Word of God says: "Be angry and sin not. Let not the sun go down on your wrath."

When Moses, the great servant of God, came down from Mount Sinai, he saw the people worshipping the golden image and he got very angry and broke the tablets with the Commandments.

I am angry with God for having the power to stop people from dying like flies in Jamaica and other parts of the world by the hands of vicious monsters, and He won't.

I am angry with God for allowing so many innocent people, babies and children to be brutally murdered by gunmen in this crime-polluted country.

I am angry with God for not revealing certain evil networks that are covered up. For example, He can make it possible for us to identify the culprits who are handing out illegal guns to criminals to slaughter innocent people - and those who are behind the gun trade.

I am vexed with God for not preventing so many women from being battered and killed in domestic disputes, by their cruel so-called spouses.

I am upset with God for not acting on our behalf when we needed Him most - instead of waiting for the day of reckoning to come - before He hands out justice to the guilty ones.

I am not blaming God for what is happening in our world, but He can curtail it. Enough is enough.
