Christ amid the confusion

The year ending has been eventful. With Donald Trump to become the next US president, eight women murdered in eight to nine days, road fatalities exceeding 350, talk of digging up the cholera cemetery, and food security issues regarding fake rice and donkey meat in the food chain.

Indeed, these are disturbing days, with "men's hearts failing them for fear ..." (St Luke 21:26) However, let us not lose hope, but look to the Deity whose birth we are about to celebrate.

The Messiah, Jesus Christ, who came to Earth for man's redemption, must be remembered during the Christmas celebrations.

The imperative being, it is His commemoration, and He guarantees us the much-needed peace. He's the Prince of Peace.

Look out for your neighbour and the less fortunate.

Also, commit to a crime-free Christmas.
