Robinson's JLP propaganda

To best understand an author's views and the basis for the positions advanced, it is usually advisable to look at their historic associations.

One does not have to look too far into Gordon Robinson's antecedents to get an immediate understanding of his motivation in writing the piece titled 'Best Christmas gift ever', which was published in The Sunday Gleaner of December 18, 2016.

In truth, Mr Robinson represented Andrew Holness as his attorney in bringing action against TVJ and Zara Burton in the now-infamous '18 Degrees North' investigative TV series.

We should, therefore, note this personal association between him and Mr Holness certainly whenever he attempts to proffer any seemingly unbiased view as it relates to the People's National Party (PNP) and its affairs.

The raw truth is that any such views expressed by Mr Robinson should be read for what they are: another attempt to defend the JLP and its leader, or, at worse, providing propaganda support for Belmont Road.

So whenever Mr Robinson advances any views on the PNP, as he's expected to do going forward, note this association, and the natural inherent biases.
