Jamaica is falling down, falling down…

The 'Get the Guns' campaign ought to be a united one. In other words: those who have the authority, the power and the means to go after the guns and their handlers should get the full support, the help and the encouragement from the Church and the people of Jamaica, in whatever way they can - and no stone should be left unturned, until they bring them all in.

The Get the Guns campaign should be treated like a mighty force that is moving between life and death. In other words: If this operation should fail, or is not effective and successful, Jamaica will continue to lose many more innocent people senselessly at the hands of heartless criminals and wrongdoers.

This campaign has a very difficult and life-threatening task in conquering the gun trade, the monsters of crime and dismantling the gangs. But, first and foremost, they need to know where so many illegal guns are coming from and who are the ones who are handing them out.

Finally, do we remember this little nursery rhyme that we used to sing in our childhood days: "London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down..."? If we are not careful, we will be singing, "Jamaica is falling down, falling down...."
