Like JC, St Bess road is a disgrace

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I have traversed the stretch of road between Middle Quarters and Lewisdale oft enough over the last 10 years and it has got to be the worst anywhere in Jamaica.

Of course, the member of parliament, J.C. Hutchinson, has been returned to office for almost two decades running. In my opinion, at its most basic, roads and water are what the majority of rural constituents crave, especially in farming communities in the Breadbasket Parish of St Elizabeth.

I don't see any signs of intervention besides some work that appears to have been done at the three junctions leading into Lewsidale and on the opposite side going up into the hills.

#AskingForAFriend: What has Member of Parliament J.C. Hutchinson accomplished for the constituency ALL this time? What is his purpose other than being a perennial backbencher? Public service (to whom), or SELF-service?
