Sick and tired of nag Bunting
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Is it only me, or has everyone just completely and utterly had it with this bickering between Opposition Spokesperson Peter Bunting and Minister of National Security Robert Montague?
I am more concerned about the country's current state of affairs and addressing the crime problem that we face, versus a blame game.
Mr Bunting has offered no solutions or proposed any measures that would help alleviate the problems. Instead, he has been content with finding fault with every word that comes out of the minister's mouth. So what if the minister says that the people wreaking havoc on our women and children are 'dutty criminals'? I don't see how arguing over who said what, and how it was said, is going to solve anything.
What is this latest issue now with motor vehicles? I am happy to hear that the police are getting additional vehicles. The force has been under-resourced for many years. This is a good move on the part of the minister! His investment in gear and ballistic vests is also commendable.
Get your act together, Mr Bunting! Crime is everyone's business, and solving it is going to involve a lot of action, not talk.
